Throughout this course, the students will understand how OpenStack works and what makes it different compared to other – commercial – Infrastructure as a Service software.
1. Getting a fundamental understanding of architecture and concepts as well as
2. the ability to put this pieces together in order to form a stable cloud
is the main focus. During this course, various hands-on labs will support students in building their own OpenStack clouds from scratch.

For Developers & DevOps

OpenStack more and more becomes the de facto standard for either a private or a public cloud. Understanding the cloud service catalog as well as the paradigms imposed on software deployment and architecture is an essential building block for the cloud offering’s success. The course will introduce OpenStack’s feature set and make students familiar with basic and advanced concepts of the cloud. Complemented and deepened by many hands-on exercises, students will learn how to use OpenStack to deploy applications while designing the rollout process for standardization, repeatability, high availability and scale by using orchestration tools such as OpenStack Heat amongst others.
